Summary
This study falls within the framework of evaluating the impact of traffic safety during the construction phase of a mixed-use project located on King Fahd Road in the Al-Arin neighborhood, east of Abha city. The study aims to understand and analyze the potential traffic impact that may result from the project’s implementation, particularly during peak hours, and to determine the extent to which the surrounding road network is affected in the current situation during the construction phases. This analysis is considered a fundamental step toward developing effective engineering and planning solutions that contribute to improving traffic service levels and enhancing safety standards at intersections and major corridors within the study area.Five traffic survey points were established: one on road segments using the MetroCount traffic counter, and four at intersections using video-based traffic monitoring.
