About The Project

The study site is the proposed Hada Al-Jamum road to divert truck traffic outside Al-Jamum Governorate in Makkah Al-Mukarramah region. It is a dual carriageway with a length of 15 km in addition to slopes connecting with the existing Hada Al-Jamum road in the four directions. The study showed that the main problem affecting the road path is the torrents transmitted due to some ravines and valleys affecting it from the western side in addition to the passage of the main Wadi Fatima stream parallel to the eastern side with a drainage basin of about 3600 km2. Detailed hydrological and hydraulic studies and models were prepared to protect the road and choose the best proposed path to reduce the impact of valleys on the road.
